I've been writing songs and telling stories for more than fifty years, but most of what I write comes from simply living—family, faith, work, recovery, back roads, old friends, and the Tennessee hills I call home. Along the way I've learned that almost everybody has a story, and sometimes all it needs is a front porch and somebody willing to listen.
